We wanted a *small*, inexpensive table for up to 4 people. What this patio table has going for it is that it is smaller than most, has legs that curve under the table so they don't get in the way, and a shelf underneath. I turned the shelf into an ottoman by making an upholstered pillow for it. The top is painted metal, so expect to be careful of scratching it. I use a soft sponge-cloth to clean the top; I don't trust microfiber or anything with nylon net core. The table is lightweight, but not too light. It was not difficult to put together. We used a moving blanket underneath when assembling it. You could pay more for something heavier, but I think you would have a hard time finding one this size with a shelf. We are happy with it.
